Compensation: In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
About the Program:
- Residential Treatment Program (STRTP): This short-term residential therapeutic program provides services to pregnant parenting and at-risk young women (and their children) ages 13-18 in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system. These youth are typically placed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or Probation Department.
Role Summary:Responsible for providing one-on-one behavioral interventions to assist clients placed at Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program in eliminating negative behaviors minimizing impulsivity and promote pro-social functioning.
- Schedule:Monday-Friday 11:00am-8:30pm with flex Friday 11:00am-7:30pm
- Location:155 N. Occidental Blvd Los Angeles CA 90026
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one behavior intervention for clients based on clients treatment plan
- Document client services in accordance with DMH standards.
- Coordinate linkage to appropriate intra-agency and community resources.
- Collaborate with treatment team to ensure quality client care.
- Conduct visits to homes schools and or other service providers in order to help client achieve their service plan goals.
- Provide systems-oriented interventions to develop parenting skills for clients support system and Residential Treatment Program direct staff
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant field required or High School Diploma plus two years of relevant experience
- Experience working with adolescents.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to the agencys insurance carrier.
