Job Summary

Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Project Officer) in the Mainland Research Projects Office (Ref.: 534177) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelors degree with at least 5 years administrative experience in tertiary institutions. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good analytical interpersonal and organizational skills; and IT proficiency. They are also expected to have a strong sense of responsibility good initiative and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

The appointee will play a pivotal role in helping the HKU research community to find funding opportunities in Chinese Mainland and provide administrative support for the application and management of such grants through their entire lifecycle. He/She will manage the research funding database prepare reports and statistics assist in the development of research-related initiatives in mainland and perform other duties as assigned. Travelling to mainland is required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
