Job Summary

WHS Advisor Scentre Group

Your Opportunity

The WHS Advisor supports the delivery of health safety and environment standards within Scentre Groups Design Development & Construction (DDC) business. Reporting to the National WHS Manager you will assist project teams in implementing WHS requirements ensuring compliance with Scentre Group systems Australian and New Zealand WHS legislation and promoting a strong safety culture across our projects.

What this role is about

WHS Support & Compliance

  • Assist in implementing WHS policies procedures and critical controls across DDC projects.
  • Support compliance with WHS legislation ISO 45001 principles and Scentre Group IMS requirements.
  • Monitor site activities and escalate issues to ensure timely resolution.

Safety Culture

  • Promote safe behaviours and the People Protecting People ethos within project teams.
  • Encourage proactive hazard identification and risk management practices.

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate WHS records in HammerTech Beakon and other systems.
  • Support reporting of WHS performance metrics and assist with incident investigations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work collaboratively with project teams contractors and consultants to ensure WHS expectations are understood and met.
  • Provide practical advice and guidance on WHS requirements during planning and delivery phases.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve WHS processes and contribute to assurance activities.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to support compliance and best practice.

What will set you apart

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or working towards).
  • Experience in WHS within construction or project environments.
  • Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand WHS legislation and ISO 45001 principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
  • A proactive mindset with attention to detail and commitment to learning.
