The Role
Were hiring an experienced mission-driven Nurse Manager to lead a busy Emergency Department team. Youll be accountable for safe age-appropriate care team performance and day-to-day operations while building a culture grounded in patient safety reliability and teamwork.
What Youll Do
- Lead daily ED operations to ensure safe timely high-quality care
- Coach and develop RNs and support staff; set clear expectations and follow through
- Ensure required competencies compliance and National Patient Safety Goals are met
- Monitor staffing productivity overtime and department expenses against targets
- Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to improve patient flow and experience
- Use data and evidence-based practice to drive quality outcomes
Required Skills & Certifications
- Maryland RN license (MBON)
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS and PALS (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years progressive ER nursing experience with demonstrated leadership progression
- Masters degree (MSN MS MA MHA or MBA)
- National certification (preferred within 1 year of hire)
- NRP per unit guidelines
