Job Summary (List Format):
- Provide direct patient care as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in a 7-bed Emergency Department at a critical access hospital
- Care for patients across all age groups: neonates infants pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics
- Work 13-week assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM); possible opportunity for 4x12s
- Required to work nights weekends and holidays
- Attend orientation during the first week then transition to independent practice
- Assess triage and manage patients with a variety of non-trauma emergency presentations and all acuity levels
- Occasionally float to Med-Surg unit as needed
- Perform key clinical skills: cardiac monitoring dysrhythmia interpretation/management emergency/code response IV starts phlebotomy EKGs medication administration Holter monitor application and documentation of defibrillation/dextrose administration
- Work with ventilated patients (preferred)
- Utilize Omnicell for medication management Meditech for documentation and SBAR for communication
- Maintain active PA RN license and required certifications: BLS ACLS PALS
- Adhere to facility dress code (scrubs: any color except camouflage or denim)
- Ensure high standards of patient safety documentation and communication within a small multidisciplinary care team
