We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join our offshore team to drive our Servers Upgrade project which includes applications Oracle databases and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and Oracle technologies proven experience in leading upgrade/migration projects and excellent leadership and communication skills. This role will be responsible for managing coordinating and executing the upgrade process to ensure seamless transition with minimum business disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Execution
- Oversee the upgrade and migration of server infrastructure applications and Oracle databases.
- Supervise and execute comprehensive testing (unit integration regression and performance) throughout the upgrade process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during the upgrade process.
- Team Management
- Guide and mentor offshore team members throughout the upgrade project lifecycle.
- Allocate tasks monitor progress and ensure adherence to project milestones.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary technical point of contact coordinating with cross-functional teams (PMOs developers DBAs system admins business stakeholders)
- Provide regular updates on project status risks and outcomes to leadership and relevant teams.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all upgrades meet organizational security compliance and performance standards.
- Implement and verify backup rollback and disaster recovery plans before and after the upgrade.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead managing server upgrade projects and Oracle environments.
- Strong hands-on experience (Framework/Core) and Oracle databases.
- Experience with server administration (Windows) virtualization and cloud or on-premise environments.
- BFSI domain is must
- Proficiency in project management and technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of IT security standards compliance and best practices.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g. Oracle AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge and experience in NodeJS.
