Job Summary
Locum - Physician - Psychiatry - Inpatient - Troy NY
Samaritan Hospital is seeking a Locum Psychiatrist for their Adult Inpatient Unit starting as soon as credentialed!
This facility features a general adult behavioral health unit with a total of 30 beds split between 2 physicians ensuring manageable patient loads. With a supportive environment the hospital prioritizes safety providing 24/7 security guards and comprehensive emergency measures. The facility uses the EPIC EMR system for efficient patient management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric care for adult patients in the inpatient unit.
- Manage a patient load of approximately 15 patients per provider per day.
- Participate in a call schedule of 1:4.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for patients admitted to the behavioral health unit.
- Adhere to safety and security measures mandated by the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Valid ACLS certification.
- Current New York state medical license at the time of submission.
- Clean background history suitable for quick credentialing.
- Availability for full-time commitment.
- Self-Query NPDB report submitted within the same month as submission.
