Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to support the finance function of a design-and-build construction business. This role suits an experienced accountant who is comfortable managing end-to-end accounting activities and working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

You will be hands-on with daily transactions while also contributing to month-end closing tax filings and financial controls.

Key Duties & Scope

Manage day-to-day accounting activities including AR AP cash movements and ledger entries
Prepare invoices receipts and follow up on outstanding customer balances
Record and reconcile financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare payment documentation and support payment processing
Assist with monthly and annual closing activities and financial statement preparation
Support budgeting basic forecasting and variance tracking
Handle statutory tax filings and compliance (VAT WHT salary tax)
Assist during internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
Maintain organised and accurate accounting records
Provide guidance and technical support to junior accounting staff as needed

Experience & Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline
Approximately 35 years of practical accounting experience
Solid understanding of Cambodian accounting practices and tax requirements
Experience using accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
Strong Excel skills and general proficiency with Microsoft Office
Detail-oriented well organised and comfortable working with deadlines
Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
