QUALIFICATIONS: | 1. | High school diploma or G.E.D. |
2. | Aptitude for the work to be performed | |

5. | Ability to follow directions effectively | |
6. | Effective communication skills with children and adults | |
7. | Willingness to acquire a substitute certificate | |
8. | Willingness to give classroom instruction when needed | |
9. | Willingness to supervise students as needed | |
10. | Demonstrated computer skills appropriate for the position | |
11. | Ability to pass the requisite assessment. | |

JOB GOAL: | To assist in providing a well-organized smoothly-functioning school environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources. | |
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. 1. | Maintains and respects confidentiality of all information acquired. | |
2. | Prepares classroom activities under the supervision of the certified employee. | |
3. | Works with small groups of students to reinforce material being taught. | |
4. | Supervises students in classes taught by outside agencies. | |
5. | Assists individual students in need of special attention. | |
6. | Assists in creating visual schedules for individual students. | |
7. | Assists students with toileting needs including diapering and toilet training. | |
8. | Assists in duties relating to supervision of student activities in any area on school campus where students are present as assigned by the principal. | |
9. | Operates office audio/visual and technology equipment. | |
10. | Attends required professional development programs. | |
11. | Performs all other duties as may be assigned for the benefit of school programs. | |
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: | School days and hours per year as designated in a one-year work agreement. Salary to be established with the Board. | |
EVALUATION: | Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel. |
