Job Summary

Hiring Status: At-Will

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

FTE: 1.0

Schedule: Monday Friday 7:30 am 4:00 pm

Compensation: Hourly

Starting Pay: $13-$20 / hr DOE;

Position Dates: January 20th - May 22nd 2026

Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education:
High School

Experience: Classroom experience preferred

Certification: N/A

Background: Clear FBI background check

Language: Strong verbal and writing skills in English Spanish fluency preferred

Job Duties

Classroom Instruction

  • Collaborate with supervising teacher to provide instructional support to students.
  • Assist students to reach academic success.
  • Creates a classroom environment that cultivates learning engages the interests of the students and allows them to perform at their very best.
  • Utilizes academically rigorous lessons unit plans rubrics and assessments aligned to Athlos 3 foundational pillars of a Prepared MindHealthy Body andPerformance Character.
  • Collect and report data on students academic progress
  • Differentiates assistance based on individual needs learning style and abilities.

Classroom and School Culture

  • Communicates a deep belief that all students can learn and belong in the classroom.
  • Consistently implements school-wide management policies.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by developing classroom rules systems and procedures.
  • Holds high expectations for student behavior at all times.
  • Develops positive relationships with students families teachers staff and community members.
  • Creates a diverse equitable and inclusive environment for all students families teachers staff and community members.

Communication

  • Communicates professionally with parent/guardians and the community.
  • Communicates student progress with parent/guardians regularly.
  • Communicates regularly with school leadership and other faculty to maximize effective instructional activities.

Professionalism

  • Models the Athlos culture.
  • Implements school policies.
  • Tracks student attendance behavioral issues and classroom events.
  • Participates in regular school-wide and individual professional development including professional learning communities.
  • Pursues ambitious professional development goals and student learning targets.
  • Actively participates in critical school events including staff meetings open houses parent teacher conferences and more.
  • Gives and receives positive and constructive feedback from colleagues.
  • Honors schedules and deadlines.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Classroom and video platforms such as: Zoom or Teams.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage the entire classroom.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience working in diverse communities and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.
  • Demonstrated integrity and high standards in managing information in a confidential and professional manner.
