Job Summary

JOB POSITION SUMMARY                                     

The Warranty Inspector will mechanically and electrically inspect chain hoists wire rope hoists and crane components returned under warranty or at customer request giving feedback on root cause and/or repair potential.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and/or troubleshoot components returned under warranty or per customer request.
  • Clearly define and communicate defects found both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide input for repair potential to allow return to the customer or return to stock.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address root causes toward future prevention.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to effectively manage time resolve problems and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to address multiple issues simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to read and understand drawings and technical guides.
  • Well-developed computer skills including MS Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work well and solve problems alone and in a team.
  • Able to use electrical multimeters calipers power tools and hand tools.
  • Working understanding of three phase electrics and inverters.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment.
  • SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years related experience in a fast-paced environment with crane industry experience preferred.
  • Maintain arc flash certification.
