Sr. Software Development Manager, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT)

The successful candidate will manage multiple teams of software development engineers partnering with senior leadership to design build and operate innovative material flow software. With a high degree of ownership you will develop our proprietary solutions end-to-end while setting the technical vision and strategy for your organization.

Key job responsibilities
Drive the overall software development life-cycle across multiple teams
Lead an organization of software engineers across multiple teams
Develop and communicate strategic roadmaps and report on status of development quality operations and system performance to senior leadership
Collaborate with principal engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach for complex cross-team initiatives
Establish and foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring feedback and metrics
Build and develop a diverse team of managers and engineers; create a strong cross-functional organization
Partner with senior stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements priorities and processes
Own all operational metrics and support across your organization
Drive innovation to deliver exceptional customer experiences through everything that we do here at Amazon
Champion innovative ideas and create an environment where teams are empowered to experiment and find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives
Set clear measurable quality goals for the organization in a data-driven way
Influence technical direction across multiple teams and partner organizations

- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs projects and development teams in an Agile environment
