Weare seeking an experienced Leasing Paralegal to support our dynamic and high performing Real Estate team in this role youll work closely with the team on a broad range of national commercial leasing matters for both private and institutional landlord and tenant clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your property law experience working alongside respected industry leaders and within a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial retail and industrial lease documentation for landlord and tenant clients
- Managing lease renewals variations and surrenders for landlord and tenant clients
- Preparing disclosure statements and coordinating execution of documents
- Liaising with clients agents landlords tenants and other external stakeholders
- Attending to pre and post completion tasks including stamping and registration where required
- Maintaining accurate matter files records and lease databases
- Providing highlevel paralegal support to the property team
To succeed in this role you will ideally have:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Leasing Paralegal in a Real Estate/Property team within a reputable Australian law firm
- Strong understanding of Queensland leasing legislation
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial and retail leasing processes
- Client focused approach with strong written and verbal communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
- A positive proactive mindset and eagerness to continue learning
- Ability to effectively manage time handle competing tasks and work to tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with a supportive and collaborative working style
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman
