- Support the implementation and continuous monitoring of internal control systems across business operations.
- Conduct periodic control reviews to ensure compliance with approved policies procedures and approval matrices.
- Identify control gaps process weaknesses and emerging risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal audits compliance reviews and investigations including follow-up on agreed action plans.
- Assist in identifying assessing and documenting operational and compliance risks across the organization.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of risk mitigation controls and participate in risk and control self-assessment exercises.
- Conduct physical inventory counts spot checks and asset verifications to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Perform inventory reconciliations variance analysis and investigations of discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Maintain accurate documentation of control reviews audit findings management responses and compliance reports.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to promote control awareness and provide guidance on internal control and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance Business Administration Economics or a related field.
- Minimum of 23 years experience in Internal Control Internal Audit Risk Management or Compliance roles.
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing oil & gas or service-based organizations is an advantage.
- Professional certifications (ICAN ACCA CISA CIA CRMA) will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of internal control compliance and risk management principles.
- Knowledge of inventory management reconciliations and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent reporting documentation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and other office productivity tools.
