Project Manager - Battery Energy Storage Systems
Overview
Our client is a leading energy company at the forefront of renewable energy innovation seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This contract position offers the opportunity to manage complex projects ranging from $200 million to $1.5 billion in a dynamic fast-paced environment at their Juno Beach FL headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of project execution for large-scale battery energy storage systems projects
- Manage cross-functional teams including Development Business Management Procurement Engineering and ISC departments
- Oversee staff and employee management during field execution phase
- Implement comprehensive safety management programs
- Handle contract administration and stakeholder management
- Execute project management planning cost management and time management
- Ensure quality control and schedule adherence
- Lead commissioning and start-up of energy storage facilities
- Establish operations readiness protocols
- Serve as primary liaison for public relations and corporate communications
- Act as company representative with local national and international regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Project Management or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
- 6-10 years of experience managing large-scale energy or infrastructure projects
- Experience with battery energy storage systems or renewable energy projects highly preferred
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent contract administration and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar projects
- Outstanding communication and public relations abilities
- Must be available to work on-site in Juno Beach FL
