Job Summary
Job Title: Project Manager - WCAG Accessibility
Location : Austin Texas
Work Type: Onsite position
Duration: 12 Months of Contract
Primary Skills: PM ADA compliance Any ADA or WCAG Certification
Certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization is Required
Knowledge of Texas Administrative Code Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) EIR Accessibility Policy and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA related to federal and state accessibility requirements.
Knowledge of industry best practices for accessibility services for digital content and Electronic Information Resources such as brochures flyers webpages documents forms and training materials.
Job Summary:
The Worker is responsible for collaborating with ITS Leadership Agency Digital Accessibility Coordinator and team members to bring definition prioritization structure estimation rigor and executive-ready reporting to a portfolio of loosely defined accessibility and compliance initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with ITS Leadership ITS team members and Digital Accessibility Program SMEs to define the scope of work and the needs for the Agencys digital accessibility projects to include documenting current state and future state Digital Accessibility Program projects.
Design and plan for implementation of various future accessibility initiatives and projects in alignment to meet compliance with Federal State and agency procedures policies rules and laws including DOJ ADA.
Work in partnership with ITS leadership Business Analyst(s) and Digital Accessibility Coordinator to review analyze and evaluate Agency Digital Accessibility Program needs.
Develop project proposals work break down structures (WBS) project cost estimates including scope schedule and budget(s).
Enhance agency digital accessibility efforts by monitoring and tracking accessibility updates communicating both internally and externally on continuous improvements.
Create and present reports that describe accessibility obstacles and recommendations to overcome obstacles.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Years of experience in the field or in a related area as a Senior Project Manager
Experience in drafting complete project proposals work break down (WBS) project cost estimates including scope schedule and budget(s).
Experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel Word PowerPoint Visio MS Project and SharePoint)
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Documents prepares and presents solution options risk identification and analysis.
Experience in documenting detailed descriptions of user needs Program functions and steps required to implement changes.
Awareness or knowledge of DFPS systems and programs.
