Role Summary

Ensure compliance with applicable standards while driving the continuous development of people processes and process automation capabilities in support of wind energy operations and professional services. This role manages a small high-impact team of 35 professionals and is responsible for people leadership operational effectiveness and execution of automated scalable service processes.

Effectively manage budget and resources while ensuring the team has the automated workflows digital systems and operational tools required to deliver on wind energy service commitments (e.g. asset performance monitoring operational reporting forecasting support and site-level optimization).

This role directly impacts the teams ability to achieve service quality and timeliness objectives for wind energy customers. The role operates within established operating policies and objectives with moderate autonomy. High levels of operational and business judgment are required to balance people leadership automation initiatives and service execution.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • People Leadership (35 Direct Reports):
    Lead coach and develop a team of 35 operations automation or services professionals. Drive performance management skills development and career growth with a focus on process standardization automation and continuous improvement in wind energy services.

  • Ensure the team has the process frameworks automated workflows and operational tools required to consistently deliver wind energy professional services while tracking execution service KPIs and delivery outcomes. Drive process adoption adherence training and governance across the team.

  • Identify design and implement process automation opportunities that reduce manual effort improve data quality and increase scalability across wind energy service operations including scheduling reporting asset performance workflows and customer deliverables.

  • Support the use of edge-enabled automation in wind energy environments (e.g. site-level data processing automated alerts local decision support) ensuring alignment with standardized operational processes and service outcomes.

  • Lead the consolidation and ongoing improvement of service management and operational toolsets into a centralized automated process framework. Define and maintain standards documentation and governance to support repeatable and auditable wind services execution.

  • Apply specialized knowledge of wind energy operations and process automation to influence tactical strategy within the area of responsibility including resource planning workload balancing and capability development while aligning with organizational objectives and operating policies.

  • Interpret internal and external operational challenges related to wind energy operations automation and digitalization and recommend best practices to improve process efficiency reliability and customer outcomes. Stay informed of industry trends such as automated operations edge analytics and renewable energy digitalization.

  • Use sound judgment to address complex but well-scoped operational challenges assess information quality ask relevant questions and develop practical automation-driven solutions within defined parameters.

  • Lead small cross-functional automation initiatives or improvement projects with limited risk and complexity. Communicate operational concepts clearly and influence stakeholders to adopt standardized and automated ways of working.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside the USA: Significant experience in Services Operations or Digital Business Processes preferably within wind energy renewable energy or industrial environments. Knowledge level comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • For roles in the USA: Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in relevant Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)) with experience supporting operations process automation or service management functions.

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated people leadership experience managing small teams (35 direct reports).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate operational automation and wind energy concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Experience designing or managing process automation initiatives including workflow automation KPI automation reporting automation or operational standardization.

  • Familiarity with edge computing concepts as applied to industrial or renewable energy operations (e.g. site-level automation low-latency processing automated alerts).

  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Amazon cloud-based platforms particularly as they support automation data pipelines and edge-to-cloud operational workflows.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan document and execute operational improvement or automation programs.

  • Solid project management skills ideally within renewable energy operations excellence or industrial automation contexts.
