Title:Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Support Services Unit. The position is budgeted at Range 19 Step C $26.30 hourly.

Central Maine Community College is seeking an experienced detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Student Financial Service team. This position plays a key role in managing student accounts and supporting excellent customer service across the campus community.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality customer service to students parents faculty and staff by responding to inquiries concerns and questions related to accounts and billing.
  • Supervising frontline staff including assigning daily workload ensuring accuracy of duties and providing training in customer service and related responsibilities.
  • Managing student accounts within the Student Information System (SIS) including reconciling financial aid disbursements using financial aid and registration reports.
  • Processing student stipends via paper check Positive Pay and/or direct deposit.
  • Managing the TouchNet System including importing deleting and updating student ID numbers; establishing book allowances; and defining and maintaining meal plans.
  • Managing the student account collections process.
  • Recommending and developing process efficiencies and customer service standards related to student billing and refunds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Six or more years of relevant experience (e.g. data management collections accounting)
  • Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of standard business office procedures and practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively and professionally with a diverse public
