Payroll Specialist

COME JOIN OUR TEAM!

BBL Construction Services has a full-time Payroll Specialist position available at our office located in Albany. BBL is a highly reputable large Albany-based design-build construction company. We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented individual to join our payroll team; this is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Receive time sheets accurately enter time into Sage 300 calculating wages review and verifying deductions and gross wages and maintaining payroll records. We do not use an outside payroll service.
Timeliness / Accuracy: Responsible for timely and accurate entries of all employee changes (new hires terminations deductions etc.).
Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledger; resolve discrepancies.
Prepare: Prepare tax deposits and reporting to various tax agencies.
Year-End: Assist in year-end payroll processes.
Auditing: Assist in union audits.
Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly union filings.
Regulations: Ensure that we are in accordance with all applicable Federal and State laws and Collective Bargaining Agreements
Collaboration: Interact with others in a professional manner via in person or on the phone.

Qualifications:

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
2 years of payroll experience.
Strong communication & interpersonal abilities.
Must be detail oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Possess leadership & teamwork skills.
Working knowledge of Sage 300 Timberline (preferred).
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and the MS office suite.

The pay range for this position is $62500k--$65000k based upon experience.
