Tasks and accountabilities
- Design develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks for UI API and integration testing
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and build effective test strategies
- Own and improve test coverage reliability and performance of test suites
- Strong coding skills in Java Javascript. Typescript and Python (optional)
- Hands-on with tools like:JUnit/TestNG
Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
RestAssured / Postman Automation
Cucumber (BDD) - Familiarity with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions Azure DevOps Gitlab CICD pipeline Jenkins
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
Technical/ professional qualifications
- Expertise in core Java/JavaScript.
- Expertise in a test framework like testNG/Cucumber.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks e.g. Playwright - UI/API (preferred) Selenium Cypress
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and using tools like Postman REST Assured or similar
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Experience in CI tools (Jenkins GitLabGitHub Action BitBucket).
- Experience in build tools (Maven Gradle or any other tools).
- Basic experience in SQL/No-SQL(MongoDB).
- Knowledge of modern methodologies like BDD Test-Driven Development and Data Driven Testing.
- Knowledge of Cloud based systems.
- Expertise of setting CI/CD for automation test script using docker.
- Strong debugging skills
- Good analytical and conceptual skills.
- Command over the English language both verbal and in writing.
