Position: Administrator - Special Operations

Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation Details:

Administration 12: Salaries range from $46389 to $61852 annually based on qualifications and experiences plus a performance-based incentive.

Location:

Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)

This role can be performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa.

Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview:

Special Operations is a multi-functional group responsible for managing distressed transactions across all product lines as well as CEBA operations. The teams leverage their expertise to lead rehabilitation and recovery efforts for struggling and impaired companies within EDCs financing loan guarantee insurance and trade guarantee portfolios.

Special Operations consists of five specialized teams:

Special Risks Loans

Special Risks Loan Guarantees

Special Risks Insurance & Trade Guarantees

Risk Transfer

Special Initiatives

The successful candidate will report to the Director Risk Transfer but will provide support across all teams within Special Operations.

What you will be doing:

Provide administrative services to various teams including but not limited to handling correspondence managing workflows routing information preparing documents and spreadsheet management as well as tracking team spend versus budgets.

Create purchase requisitions process invoices and expense claims for payment.

Co-ordinate and administer team activities and events: logistics arranging relevant materials and technology catering arrangements.

Co-ordinate international and domestic travel arrangements: airline and hotel reservations visa arrangements preparation of travel expense claims at the conclusion of travel.

Manage translation requests.

Refine presentations and spreadsheets with graphics and other tasks as required.

Assist with ongoing project work.

Identify enhance and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of office workflows.

Develop and maintain job aids and other administrative procedures related to improving the efficiency of operations at Export Development Canada.

What we are looking for:

Completion of secondary school

Minimum 3 years administrative experience in an office setting including calendar management email budget management purchase orders invoices event coordination and information management.

Bilingual in both official languages is an asset (English and French).

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint MS Teams Outlook and other related programs).

Strong organizational skills.

Strong business acumen self-sufficient energetic with exceptional customer service and multi-tasking skills.

Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including senior management.

Proactive flexible and motivated problem-solver with innovative ideas to improve efficiency in office procedures.

What will make you stand out:

Completion of Undergraduate degree.

Administrative/Executive Assistant training.

Knowledge and/or experience with SharePoint.

Bilingual in both official languages (English and French) minimum speaking proficiency (Level B2).
