Job Title: Digital Manufacturing Engineer

Mission Summary:

As a key member of the PSG IT Operations and Services team at our Brisbane site you will help transform biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You will integrate advanced digital technologies to improve operational efficiency maintain data accuracy and support continuous improvement.

Location/Division Specific Information

This role is a full-time permanent position based onsite at our Kent Street Brisbane offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize digital solutions for manufacturing quality and compliance.
  • Support project delivery across design testing deployment and maintenance.
  • Oversee digital automation systems and coordinate with vendors and integrators.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve system issues quickly.
  • Recommend system and process improvements to strengthen security and performance
  • Maintain compliance with cybersecurity backup and patching standards.
  • Supported lifecycle planning and execution for system upgrades and replacements.
  • Handle ServiceNow incidents and requests within SLA.
  • Collaborate with global teams to advance digital transformation initiatives.
  • Follow Global IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support critical system needs.
  • Provide frontline IT support by troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues and user inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in PPI huddles and workshops.
  • Promote and uphold the PPI culture within the IT Department.
  • Recognize and follow up on chances to improve the IT Department.

IT Compliance & Quality Responsibilities:

  • Support IT Compliance and Quality by generating reviewing approving and controlling departmental documentation. This includes SOPs system reports user requirements guidelines and inventory of assets. Assist with internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure the implementation of and adherence to current GMP rules Quality policies procedures and instructions for your area of responsibility.
  • Contribute to and support periodic reviews such as audit trail reviews access reviews and other GxP-related reviews.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3 years experience as an IT System Technician or junior Automation Engineer.
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and/or implementing sustaining and improving validated systems within regulated environments.
  • Computer network training/certification such as CompTIA Network or Cisco CCNA is a plus.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Manage workstations servers network devices and industrial automation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA systems operations.
  • Proficient in virtual environment technologies such as VMware or HyperV.
  • Preferred experience with GMP and/or deploying maintaining and developing validated systems in regulated environments.
  • Ability to work in a team make decisions solve problems communicate effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Dynamic hardworking with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for issue resolution.
  • Handle tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity to understand and answer questions with the ability to collaborate with multiple business partners and bring innovative solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with thorough documentation abilities.
