Advanced Energy United seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Campaigns and Policy Intern to join ourCountersparkteam for our Summer 2026 program.
Key Responsibilities
- Researchassigned policies and resources to help improveCountersparkscommunications.
- Monitor and summarizelegislation relevant toCountersparkswork.
- Draft review and edit advocacy materials liketalking pointsemails ads andwebsite content.
- Manage trackers and take notes on regular calls.
- Complete a summer-long assignment guided by the Digital Director and Managing Director that reflects learned experience during your time with United.
- Compile and analyze key statistics relating to email ad and social media performance.
- Support theCountersparkstaff in executing a robust political and engagement strategy.
- Research campaigns andcandidatesthe organization may support in 2026.
Interns willworkahybridscheduleand thereforemustbelocated inthe DC MD VA area for the summer a commutable distance to our DC office.A final project will be due from each intern and presented to the organizationat the end of the program.
Required Skills
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint etc.);able to write for a general audience; interest in elections as they relate to clean energy policy
Preferred Skills
Detail-oriented; intellectually curious;strong writtenandoral communication skills; andinterest in advanced energy and/or public policy career
