Summary

We are seeking a Business Finance Analyst to join our team and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this position supports the delivery of efficient and compliant financial systems and processes delivers financial planning and analysis and internal reporting. You will also contribute to the implementation of the Support at Home (SaH) program under Australias aged care reforms.

What you will be doing

The Business Finance Analyst supports the Chief Operating Officer at the intersection of business operations and finance. The role is responsible for delivering the organisations financial planning and analysis financial reporting and partnering with business leaders to improve financial and operational performance across the organisation.

The role will also strengthen financial systems and processes to support operational performance and compliance particularly under Support at Home (SaH) the new Australian aged care funding and regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of 2025/26 forecast and preparation of budget 2026/27 in conjunction with COO
  • Design and delivery of improved financial reports tailored to stakeholder needs
  • Develop financial models assumptions and scenario analyses to support planning and decision-making
  • Develop and implement internal financial reports tailored to different stakeholders including Board reporting Executive reporting & Cost Centre Manager reporting
  • Provide clear accurate and timely financial analysis to interpret the numbers and support performance management
  • Act as a finance business partner to Operations and other Business Units to support informed decision-making and improved performance
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives including Pricing and funding reviews program service and client profitability analysis & cost optimisation and efficiency initiatives
  • Translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
  • Design documentation and delivery of revised finance processes for Support at Home (SaH) including claims and billing in conjunction with Financial Accountant and COO
  • Ensure the revised SaH processes are aligned with legislative requirements
  • Ensure accurate and compliant integration and data transfer between key systems for SaH including Visual Care operations system Government systems such as the Aged Care Provider Portal and Services Australia and Xero finance system
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations and other Business Units to ensure consistency accuracy and integrity of financial data

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Degree in Finance Accounting or Business; CPA/CA preferred.
  • 3 years experience in financial analysis budgeting forecasting and reporting.
  • Strong skills in financial modelling process design and data integration.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • High attention to detail data integrity and control focus.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Organised proactive and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Other requirements:

  • Current driver license and access to own vehicle.
  • Police check at the required intervals.
  • Not subject to any Employee Screening or Banning Orders under relevant state or federal legislation (e.g. Worker Screening Act 2020 (Vic)).
