Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute sub-acute aged care and community services.

We are seeking a passionate and team-oriented Grade One or Grade Two Social Worker to join our friendly and supportive allied health team. The successful applicant will be required to deliver patient centered care within a busy hospital Social Work service and will be comprehensively supported through regular clinical supervision from experienced Grade 2 and 3 Social Workers and a supportive team environment that values environment for skill development and professional growth.

Grade One Social Workers in their first two years of practice will also be included in our multi-disciplinary Allied Health graduate transition program.

Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30000 and our catchment serves a community of around 100 000 throughout the northeast.
An easy 2 ½ hours drive on the Hume freeway from Melbourne and less than an hour to Albury airport with direct flights to most of the large Australian cities.
