Job Summary
About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator your primary responsibilities will be to carry out preventative continuous improvement and breakdown maintenance across a fast-paced production facility. Initially this will be a Monday to Friday role (with some weekend work) however with increased production on the horizon this role will transition to 12hr shifts over a 7-day fortnight.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out Preventative Maintenance programs for the processing packaging cooling & heating systems
- Contribute to the preventative maintenance system development.
- Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions;
- Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes;
- General maintenance within a factory environment filling machines packaging equipment boilers blow moulding machines refrigeration systems and Building/facilities.
- Actively be involved in safety and continuous improvement activities
About You
To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required:
- Trade Qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical
- South Australian A Class Electrical Licence or equivalent essential for Electrician role
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Previous Dairy or Beverage experience highly regarded
