Whats the role

The COO Risk Transformation team delivers Risk Division priorities through the effective execution of transformation initiatives. The team achieves this by delivering business value and sustainable risk outcomes in close partnership with Westpac Group divisions lines of business and enterprise functions with a strong focus on trust delivery excellence and people.

What will you be doing

  • Lead business analysis and uplift of processes templates and governance activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map baseline processes identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Drive process improvement through automation and digital solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Project Director Executive Sponsors technology partners and SMEs.
  • Facilitate workshops requirements gathering sessions and regular updates to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Engage with change managers to support training communications and adoption of new processes and platforms.
  • Track project milestones benefits realisation and process mining outcomes.
  • Prepare and present high-quality reports business cases and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of best practices across various ongoing initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation as required by project leads.
  • Communicate effectively across different departments to achieve shared business goals.
  • Ensure that project and operational risks are managed in accordance with established risk frameworks including governance and escalation frameworks.
