Responsibilities
Pediatrix is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our Newborn Nursery team at Covenant Medical Center in Saginaw Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys newborn care and values a supportive collaborative practice environment.
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide highquality care to newborns in our wellbaby nursery partnering closely with pediatricians nurses and the care team to ensure a safe and nurturing start for every infant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Morning rounding in the Newborn Nursery
- Daily evaluation and management of healthy newborns
- Collaboration with pediatricians nursing staff and OB teams
- Documentation of newborn exams care plans and discharge summaries
- Call coverage from home with responsibilities limited to phone triage and urgent needs
- Supporting family education and ensuring highquality familycentered care
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing
- Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNPPrimary Care or PNPAcute Care)
- Active Michigan RN and NP licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience with newborn care preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
