Key Responsibilities
A. HR Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with university vision and growth plans.
Advise management on manpower planning organizational structure and policy development.
Forecast staffing requirements across faculties and departments.
B. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Oversee end-to-end recruitment for teaching non-teaching and administrative positions.
Ensure hiring as per UGC/AICTE/State Government norms (for academic posts).
Conduct interviews screening reference checks and onboarding formalities.
Maintain empanelment with consultants job portals and internal talent pools.
C. Employee Onboarding & Orientation
Ensure smooth joining formalities document verification and employee induction programs.
Communicate HR policies service rules code of conduct and university regulations.
D. Attendance Payroll & Compliance
Monitor attendance leave records biometric systems and shift schedules.
Coordinate with Accounts for monthly payroll processing and salary administration.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PF ESIC Gratuity Bonus Act Shops & Establishment Act).
Maintain employee records service books and HR documentation.
E. Performance Management
Implement performance appraisal systems for teaching and non-teaching staff.
Coordinate annual increments promotions and career advancement processes.
Support competency mapping KPI setting and performance improvement plans.
Ensure academic performance evaluations align with university norms.
F. Employee Relations & Grievance Redressal
Maintain healthy workplace culture through effective communication and engagement.
Handle employee grievances disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
Ensure adherence to university policies ethics and code of conduct.
Chair/coordinate disciplinary and grievance committees as required.
G. Training & Development
Identify training needs for faculty and staff.
Organize workshops FDPs behavioral training and capacity-building programs.
Promote professional development and skill enhancement initiatives.
H. Policy Governance & Documentation
Draft and update HR policies SOPs service rules and employment guidelines.
Maintain HR manuals job descriptions and organizational charts.
Ensure proper documentation for internal audits NAAC/NBA/ISO accreditations and statutory inspections.
I. HR Operations & Administration
Oversee staff deployment duty rosters and workforce utilization.
Manage contract staff outsourced manpower and service providers.
Ensure smooth conduct of university events meetings and administrative requirements in coordination with
other departments.
J. Exit Management
Manage resignation exit interviews F&F settlement and experience letters.
Maintain alumni records of employees.
