Our client based in Boksburg is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their team on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate must have the relevant IT support experience (3-5 years).
The IT Support Specialist will provide first- and second-line technical support to internal users ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems hardware software and networks. This role is suited to a motivated & technical individual looking to deliver reliable and professional user support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line IT support to internal users
- Troubleshoot hardware software and network-related issues.
- Install configure and maintain desktops laptops printers and peripherals.
- Support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Assist with user account management access rights and password resets.
- Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Maintain accurate records of IT incidents resolutions and assets.
- Escalate complex technical issues where required
- Assist with IT-related onboarding and offboarding of employees.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies procedures and security standards.
Job Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Relevant IT qualification (essential)
- Completed IT courses and certifications (essential)
- 35 years IT Support / Helpdesk experience (non-negotiable)
- Solid working knowledge of:
- Windows environments
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook Teams OneDrive)
- Basic networking principles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
