Job Summary


  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts stock audits and reconciliations for raw materials packaging finished goods and engineering stores; implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) systems to prevent spoilage and ensure product freshness.
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise receiving storage picking packing and dispatch processes; optimize warehouse layout for space utilization and safety including temperature-controlled storage for perishable items.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit train and manage a team of warehouse staff (10-20 members) fostering a culture of safety accountability and performance; conduct performance reviews and handle shift scheduling.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with procurement production and logistics teams to forecast demand manage supplier deliveries and resolve discrepancies; track KPIs such as inventory turnover stock out rates and order fulfillment accuracy.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to food industry regulations (HACCP ISO 22000 NAFDAC) health/safety protocols (OSHA-equivalent standards) and environmental guidelines; maintain pest control sanitation and FIFO compliance.
  • Engineering Store Oversight: Manage spare parts inventory for maintenance teams prioritizing critical items to minimize equipment downtime; conduct ABC analysis for categorization and just-in-time replenishment.
  • Technology and Reporting: Implement ERP/WMS systems (e.g. SAP or similar) for real-time tracking; generate monthly reports on inventory levels costs variances and efficiency metrics for Site Director review.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g. reducing shrinkage by 10-15%) lead lean initiatives and handle ad-hoc projects like warehouse expansions or process automation.


Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration Engineering Social Sciences or related field; professional certifications is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in warehouse/store management with 3 years in food manufacturing or FMCG; proven track record managing multi-category inventories (raw materials packaging FG engineering stores).

Key Competences:

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards inventory control systems and ERP software.
  • Leadership and team-building abilities; excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office WMS/ERP tools and data analytics (e.g. Excel pivot tables).
  • Physical fitness for warehouse environment; valid drivers license for site mobility.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented proactive adaptable to shift work (including weekends) and committed to zero-tolerance safety culture.
