Role Overview

The Operations team provides functionalsupport and monitoring for market and counterparty risk Portugalthe focus is on the qualityaspects of the data feeding those platforms including thecreation and governance of meaningfulKPIs investigation of incidents streamlining of workflowsand executive-level reporting for governance Business Analyst in this role will act as the bridge between Risk Business and ITensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Quality & KPI Governance

Designimplement and maintain Key Performance Indicators to monitordata quality (timeliness accuracy of daily risk indicators);

Track trends identify anomalies detection andensure alignment with internal standards;

Perform statistical analyses using Excel analytics and Power BI dashboards;

Translate technical data into clear narrativesfor leadership reviews.

Committee Support & Stakeholder Reporting

Prepare materials and participate actively inmonthly governance committeesto present KPI analyses insights and recommendations;

Translatetechnical concepts into business-friendly language for seniormanagement;

Maintain strong relationships with internal andexternal stakeholders.

Incident Management & Remediation

Extract analyze and report on systemincidents;

Conduct statisticaldeep dives to identify inefficiencies or recurring issues;

Collaborate with subject-matter experts todiagnose root cause analysis;

Produce synthesis reports and follow-up actionplans within SLA.

Process Improvement & Innovation

Critically assess existing workflows to identifybottlenecks;

Industrializeprocesses and automate repetitive tasks;

Provide daily user support for ad-hoc SQL queries anddata applications;

Champion incremental changes aligned withpolicies.

Technical Skills MUST HAVE

Good understanding of Market Risk Monitoring and Reporting;

Solid IT background with Python mainly;

Good knowledge of stress testing techniques;

Strong SQLadvanced skills (CRUD procedures tuning);

Expertise in Excel and/or Power BI dashboards;

Experience in Agile Scrum environments;

English B2 minimum; Portuguese fluency.
