About the Opportunity
An international organization in the financial servicessector is looking for an Experienced Test Analyst (Octane) to join adynamic project team in Lisbon.
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about softwarequality assurance test execution and risk control particularly within bankingor insurance environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring high-qualitydeliverables across projects contributing to test design execution anomalymanagement and go-live decisions.
Main Responsibilities
Test Design &Planning
- Contribute to the design of Business Analyst tests within projects
- Ensure compliance with project standards and deliverables
- Input and manage test cases in the dedicated testing tool (Octane)
- Guarantee proper prioritization of test activities
- Build and manage test schedules
- Contribute to reporting and documentation processes
Test Execution
- Execute test cases within your scope
- Provide key information for Go/No-Go decisions
- Record test results in the appropriate tools
- Identify and report risks related to delays or quality
- Provide regular progress updates to the Test Lead
Anomaly Management
- Identify and log anomalies in the appropriate systems
- Support prioritization and resolution processes
- Participate in validation after corrections
- Contribute to final reports and procedural documentation
Required Background
- Degree in Computer Science Informatics or related field
- Solid understanding of project methodologies
- Strong knowledge of ISTQB principles testing vocabulary and QA best practices
- Minimum 3 years of experience in testing activities (5 years preferred)
- Experience testing banking or life insurance applications (desirable)
Technical Skills
Essential:
- Experience with test planning and scheduling
- Risk identification and follow-up
- Strong analytical and logical thinking
- Experience with Octane (preferred)
- Ability to document and summarize effectively
- Strong coordination and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of API testing
- Knowledge of SAS
- Experience with Control-M or other schedulers
