Job Description:

This is machine and trade work involving the operation of a first class bridge. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and conducting day-to-day operation of large and complex movable bridges. Work is characterized by location on major thoroughfares with heavy vehicular traffic and requirements for frequent openings to allow ocean going vessel passage. Employees are responsible for the immediate safe secure and proper functioning of the bridge during their assigned hours. During closed times employees are responsible for routine maintenance and routine janitorial duties. Work is performed under general supervision.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence ofthe following experience:

Must be 18 years of age have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess the above required KSAs.
