Position: Senior Analyst - PC Support and Inventory
Salary Range : Band 5: $42.52 - $50.71 per hour 4% vacation
Location: Information Services J.W. Singleton Education Centre
Work Schedule: 35 hours/week 12 months/year
Effective Date: ASAP - August 31 2026
Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst - PC Support & Inventory is responsible for coordinating the procurement and implementation process of end user technology within the Board ensuring assets are maintained and replaced based on lifecycle management. This position coordinates the testing and creation of documentation for new technology ensuring standards are met for device lifecycle and asset tracking. Develops standards and trains Information Services team members on technology and best practice standards to support end users with a focus on the protection of accounts devices and board data. The Inventory Management role is responsible for ongoing tracking record collection and data integrity of all orders purchased through Board funds providing input to strategic planning to the Manager based on data analytics and reporting. Invoicing account reconciliation and record keeping are daily functions of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring all Board devices are managed and maintained in the asset management and identified management consoles Making sure that assets are uniquely identified according to naming conventions and ensuring that all IT personnel comply with identification standards for object types environments processes lifecycles documentation versions formats baselines releases and templates
Provide reports to the Supervisor and Manager System Operations to inform lifecycle management and budget impact for current and forecasted years for both Admin Budget and school forecasting
Investigate anomalies with devices to determine possible loss of equipment
Develop reports for Board identifying supported equipment and track lifecycle management - procurement to ethical disposal - of equipment
Responsible for managing the rollout of devices to schools and central departments - evaluation/advising ordering and implementation of devices
Liaise with vendors to ensure accuracy in orders as well as adjust if there are supply chain issues (make/model no longer available delayed delivery) recommending solutions to Supervisor and Manager to minimize impact to schools and students
Coordinate projects to replace end of life software/hardware and minimize disruption to schools/departments
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory to support Hardware repair
Coordinates with Purchasing to source hardware requirements and select vendor(s) of record participates in procurement processes - RFQ RFP RFT
Manage and report on budget supporting hardware repair
Acquire device inventory to support projects and operational support of end users (Staff Students Schools)
Identify and recommend standards for all devices and technology in use in the Board schools and centres. Including endpoint protection reducing security vulnerabilities (i.e. IoT equipment)
Ensure endpoint protection software/hardware standards are developed and implemented - standard software system setup/configuration
Lead coach and provide technical guidance and support to Information Services team members and end-users on infrastructure-related issues including desktop support and mobile devices
Participates in and leads cross departmental teams to investigate issues to successful resolution
Qualifications :
3 year Diploma in Information Technology related field with Cyber Security or equivalent focus
4 years in Information Technology related field
