The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Director eHealth Development to lead a large-scale digital health transformation initiative. This role will oversee multiple interdependent programs focused on modernizing Albertas healthcare ecosystem and delivering a seamless patient-centered experience.

Client: Government of Alberta Primary and Preventative Health Services
Location: Edmonton Alberta (Hybrid Primarily Remote Within Canada Only)
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract (Multi-Year Initiative)
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive-level oversight across major eHealth initiatives including:
CII/CPAR
Electronic Referral Solution (ERS)
Provincial EMR Strategy & Integration
EHR Viewer & Clinical Document modernization
Develop and manage integrated portfolio plans roadmaps timelines and dependencies
Ensure alignment between clinical workflows business objectives technical architecture and policy requirements
Lead vendor and contract management activities including:
Statements of Work (SOWs)
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Pricing deliverables and compliance
Manage relationships with EMR vendors technology providers and shared services partners
Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders including clinicians regulatory bodies and provincial partners
Prepare executive briefings dashboards status reports and risk mitigation strategies
Ensure adherence to provincial IMT standards enterprise architecture and governance frameworks
Requirements
Extensive senior-level experience leading large-scale digital health / eHealth transformation programs
Strong portfolio/program management experience across complex multi-stream initiatives
Proven experience in vendor and contract management
Experience working with healthcare stakeholders and regulatory organizations
Strong executive communication leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Demonstrated experience within government or large public-sector environments (highly preferred)
Required Skills:
