CURATING ORIGINALITY TAKES TALENT

Thisintegral role provides a high level of service to guests experience and presents an amazing opportunity to play a key role in the worlds largest W Hotel with 588 rooms suites and studios. the Welcome Supervisor should be able to balance the needs of their team their guests and the business itself while maintaining a focus on excellence and continuous improvement. This requires strong organizational communication and leadership skills as well as a deep local understanding of the guest journey.Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Process all guest check-ins verifying guest identity form of payment assigning room and activating/issuing room key.
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
  • Assist staff with expediting problem payments (e.g. problems processing credit card).
  • Anticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. Run daily reports (number of arrivals departures) identify any special requests and check reports for accuracy.
  • Ensure rates match market codes document exceptions. Secure payment prior to issuing room key verify/adjust billing.
  • Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists.
  • Complete cashier and closing reports.
  • Provide guests with directions and property information.
  • Accommodate guest requests contacting appropriate staff if necessary. Follow up to ensure requests have been met.
  • Process all payment types vouchers paid-outs and charges. Balance and drop receipts. Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift.
  • Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
  • Assist management in training motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.

Overall the Welcome Supervisor should be able to balance the needs of their team their guests and the business itself while maintaining a focus on excellence and continuous improvement. This requires strong organizational communication and leadership skills as well as a deep local understanding of the guest journey.
