Overview:
The Director Customer Engagement & Development is a key member of the Marketing Team. The Director will manage a team of 5 Customer Development Managers (CDM) that are responsible for External Expert (EE) engagement and development peer-to-peer education and support key accounts regional congress presence and gathering business insights to support strategic brand planning. The CDM Leader will be responsible for strategizing and aligning with Marketing Strat Comm and Brand leads to ensure optimal pull-through of key training and educational initiatives while delivering analytics and metrics consistently to help assess progress and execution. CDM leader will also collaborate with Region Directors and DNA team to identify opportunities for Marketing support within key Academic Medical Centers and private practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Customer Development Manager (CDM) Leader across all promoted Therapeutic indications and Migraine portfolio
- Manage a team of 5 direct reports
- Build solid relationships and become a trusted advisor to therapeutic area leadership informing brand strategies and tactics based on clear objective customer insights.
- Direct and manage projects including execution of marketing plans initiatives and tasks
- Maintain organizational knowledge on all insights and performance data generated relative to the therapeutic area supported including market and competitive trends
- Participate in business and marketing plans process
- Must be able to manage effective written and oral communications with EEs including the ability to confidently represent and protect AbbVies interests during interactions and/or collaborations with external stakeholders.
- Ability to translate market trends insights and competitive practices to draw key business opportunities
- Strong collaboration and team orientation
- Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion
- Monitor and lead CDM activities within allocated budget
- Always mindful of and adheres to regulatory and compliance guidelines
- Understanding of attributes of other AbbVie internal functional areas and impact of relevant decisions
Qualifications :
- Proven sales sales management and/or marketing experience
- 3 years of people management experience required
- Excellent strategic thinking capabilities and equally excellent tactical execution skills.
- Analytical reasoning abilities intellectual curiosity strong business acumen and
- creativity in problem solving.
- Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the
- organization from Product Managers to Senior Executives.
- Proven experience as a high performer and thought leader.
- Travel up to 50%

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at thetime of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic locationand we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
