INTERNAL Technical Manager

About the Role:

The Technical Manager will provide technical leadership across the full product lifecycle ensuring engineering solutions meet company client and quality expectations.

This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams mentoring technical staff and supporting program delivery from planning through sustainment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Ownership:Acts as the technical expert for the Project team managing engineering processes across the full product lifecycle.

• Project Delivery: Supports planning development delivery and ongoing management of programs.

• System Sustainment: Manages and monitors system performance and maintenance needs over time.

• Field & In-Country Operations: Leads system functionality efforts (as required) and supports field service activities related to STW HAT and SAT events.

• Budgeting: Contribute to budget management for program activities ensuring all necessary resources are accounted for. Manage and control actual spending against the budget to ensure expenditures are within approved limits.

• Mentorship: Mentor technical teams by providing technical guidance and support in resolving complex engineering challenges sharing knowledge and reviewing performance.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of engineering experience in a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
• Extensive technical capability and experience that provides you with confidence to make multi-dimensional technical decisions.
• Demonstrated experience in project management project engineering or technical management.
• Experience interacting with SMEs developers engineers and technicians from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering tools software and project management methodologies.
• Leadership experience and training an asset.
• Experience in marine systems defence or aerospace sectors an asset.
• Ability to obtain Canadian Government Security (Reliability) Controlled Goods clearances.
• Holds a valid Canadian passport.
