    Position Information:
    The Multilingual (ML) Student Success Specialist supports culturally and linguistically diverse students and families to ensure student success. The position works independently to maintain caseloads of students/families by coordinating resources collaborating with staff and building positive professional relationships. One of the key outcomes for this role is increased graduation rates for ML students in the school district. Additionally this position uses bilingual/multilingual and English proficiency with students/families as needed to perform essential duties and responsibilities.

    Shift Details: 8 hours a day; 180 day calendar; Leave Replacement position through April 3 2026
    Non-Continuing Position:This position is non-continuing for the 2025-2026school year only. Typically non-continuing assignments fill a variety of temporary vacancies to help the school district meet a short-term work demand. This work assignment expires on the end date of employment and there is no reasonable assurance for work after the end date. An employees total work hours and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
    FLSA Status:Non-exempt
    Hourly Rate: $46.20 per hour(2025-2026Professional - Technical Employee Salary Schedule)
    Position Type/Level: Professional - Technical Employee Level D

    Required Qualifications:

    • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university in education human services or other related fields. **
    • At least one (1) year of work experience with mentoring students.
    • Bilingual/multilingual proficiency is required.

    ** All certificates transcripts or degrees completed outside of the U.S.A or Canada must be evaluated by a member from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). The final evaluation report must confirm education equivalent to a minimum two years of college-level credit or a degree (AA BA MA) from an accredited college in the United States.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting and/or evidence of an interest in supporting learning experiences.
    • Training with cultural ethnic and language diversity.

    The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services and retirement packages. Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year. Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by employees who work at least 3.50 hours per day in a continuing position.
