Job Summary
Job Description:
As a Medical Billing & Coding Specialist at Geophysical Survey LLC you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and coding practices for our geophysical survey services. Your attention to detail and expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and overall operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign codes for diagnoses and procedures
- Submit claims to insurance companies and other third-party payers
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify information and obtain necessary documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data security at all times
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Billing & Coding program
- Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (e.g. CPC CCA)
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems (e.g. ICD-10 CPT)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in medical billing and coding roles
- Knowledge of geophysical survey services or related industries
- Experience working in a remote team environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Salary & Benefits:
