Job Summary

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Clinical Facilitator - Mater Cancer Care Centreto join us in a Permanent Part-time role. Based at our Springfield campusthese roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU maternity emergency and medical surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.

Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

  • Provide expert clinical guidance mentorship and support to staff across a range of practice areas.
  • Plan develop deliver and evaluate evidence-based education and professional development programs.
  • Identify and address learning needs to enhance clinical knowledge skills and behaviours.
  • Support staff to work to their full scope of practice and deliver safe high-quality person-centred care.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers Area Managers and Education Coordinators to align education activities with organisational priorities.
  • Incorporate simulation assessment and other contemporary learning methodologies into education delivery.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning professional accountability and clinical excellence.
  • Support students and early career clinicians during placements and transitions to practice.
  • Participate in research evaluation and quality improvement initiatives that enhance clinical education and practice outcomes.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of change innovation and evidence-based improvement initiatives across Mater Health.

About you

You are an experienced clinician and passionate educator who thrives on supporting others to reach their full potential.

You bring:

  • Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and advanced practice knowledge in your specialty area.
  • Proven experience in clinical education facilitation or professional supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams.
  • Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to quality and outcomes.
  • Commitment to professional growth evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty or education (or working towards) are desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards) is desirable.
