Primary duties and responsibilities: Spritual Health Fellow participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team providing spiritual care to patients and families in medical specialties where chronic illness and pain are evident such as Winship Cancer Palliative Care Staff Support Critical Care and Brain Health. Participates in research agenda. Participates in continuous collaboration with educators team members and other health care professionals to promote environment of care healing and professional development. CCSH Fellows are expected to engage in the learning and practice of CBCT develop a personalized certification pathway and to learn and implement the CCSH interventional approach through individual study clinical practice and group work. Understands and complies with Spiritual Health policies and applicable Emory Healthcare policies. For majority the goal would be to become a registered CCSH interventionist through Spiritual Health at Emory Healthcare and Emorys collaboration with the Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics at Emory not through ACPE. This is a time limited position for two years. Positions will be located at Emory Decatur Hospital and Emory Winship Cancer Institute.
Minimum Required Qualifications: Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education in a program credentialed by ACPE. MDiv or other Masters degree in theology or proof of board eligibility by Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or its strategic partners (NAJC NACC CASC/ACSS). Preferred Qualifications Ordination license or endorsement by an acknowledged ecclesiastical body or specialized spiritual/philosophical/religious group preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking Occasional sitting Close eye work (computers typing reading writing) Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exsures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock Floor Surfaces Hot/Cold Temperatures Indoor/Outdoor conditions Latex Lighting Patient care/handling injuries Radiation Shift work Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment including respirators environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

- Reasonable account of your personal/professional development and three (3) key learnings about your self-awareness from CPE experiences. How would you continue to address and integrate these insights in this potential role as a CCSH Fellow (2-4 pages)
