Job Summary
Delivery & Distribution
- Deliver dressed chicken orders promptly and accurately
- Verify the quantity temperature and condition of products before dispatch
- Obtain customer signatures or delivery confirmations for all deliveries
- Return delivery documents and payment receipts to the Distribution Centre daily
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Promote and sell dressed chicken products to existing and potential customers along assigned routes ensuring the achievement of daily weekly monthly and quarterly sales targets in line with the approved commission structure
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty
- Understand customer needs provide product information and follow up on orders and inquiries
- Gather customer feedback to support service improvement and product development
C. Stock Management
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns
- Be accountable and report any stock shortages damages or customer complaints immediately
D. Motorcycle Care
- Operate the company motorcycle safely and responsibly always
- Conduct daily pre-ride checks (fuel brakes lights tires carrier box)
- Ensure the motorcycle and delivery box are clean branded and well-maintained
- Report mechanical or safety issues to the Supervisor immediately
E. Compliance & Conduct
- Follow all traffic laws safety standards and cold-chain handling procedures
- Wear full company uniform and safety gear (helmet reflector gloves)
- Maintain professional behavior and courtesy when interacting with customers
- Support any other duties assigned by the supervisor
- On time and in full delivery of dressed chicken products
- Achieve or exceed sales and profit targets as per the monthly / quarterly and annual targets.
- Grow market share
- Successful development and maintenance of key business relationships
- Timely submission of daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Effective use of technology to improve outcomes continually
- Achieve sales and profit targets in the channel
Requirements
Education & Training
- A Level or Diploma preferred
- Valid Class A motorcycle riding permit.
Skills & Experience
- At least 12 years experience in delivery
- 1- 2 years experience in field sales (preferably in FMCG meat or poultry).
- Good knowledge of Kampala routes and customer locations.
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication honesty and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure.
