Job Title: Head – Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: CHRO

About the Role:

The Head – Compensation & Benefits (C&B) / Total Rewards will lead the design implementation and governance of the organisation’s holistic rewards strategy. This role will act as a strategic advisor to the leadership on all matters related to compensation architecture incentive design benefits optimization performance management and workforce planning.

The ideal candidate is a forward-looking Total Rewards professional with strong analytical rigor deep market understanding and proven experience in building modern competitive and equitable reward systems. This role requires leadership capability to manage a team and collaborate closely with HR Finance and Business leaders to ensure rewards programs enable performance growth and future capability building.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Total Rewards Strategy & Governance

Develop and drive the organisation’s Total Rewards philosophy ensuring competitiveness fairness and alignment with business strategy.

Lead annual compensation planning salary structures reward cycles and pay governance.

Benchmark compensation and benefits practices against market standards using reputable surveys and tools

2. Compensation Design (Executive & Non-Executive)

Design and manage executive compensation programs including fixed pay architecture STI LTI and ESOP/Phantom Stock plans.

Structure and maintain job grading frameworks career bands and internal parity guidelines.

Oversee compensation modelling pay-mix optimization cost simulations and market competitiveness evaluation.

3. Incentive Programs (Sales Annual Bonus LTI)

Lead the design and implementation of performance-linked incentive plans across businesses.

Build differentiated and scalable sales incentive structures aligned to productivity revenue and P&L metrics.

Own design and governance of Annual Bonus plans Long-Term Incentives and Recognition programs ensuring alignment to company goals.

4. Benefits & Wellbeing Programs

Lead end-to-end benefits strategy including health and wellness plans retirement benefits insurance parental policies and employee well-being initiatives.

Evaluate benefits ROI and redesign offerings to enhance employee experience and cost efficiency.

5. Performance Management & Workforce Planning

Drive the performance management framework including KPIs goal setting calibration and continuous performance processes.

Partner with HRBPs & Business Leaders to integrate rewards with performance outcomes.

Oversee workforce planning manpower forecasting and productivity analytics.

6. Data Analytics Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Leverage advanced analytics for compensation modelling headcount planning pay equity analysis and predictive insights.

Lead digital transformation of rewards processesHRIS compensation modules incentive automation dashboards.

Strengthen governance audit readiness and transparent reporting.

Partner with CXOs Finance HR and business teams to align compensation strategy with organisation priorities.

Manage external consultants survey partners legal advisors and benefits providers.

Qualifications and Experience:

MBA / Master’s in HR Finance or related field.

12–18 years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards.

Strong expertise in sales incentives executive compensation ESOPs/LTI design benchmarking benefits and performance management.

Experience in leading a team and managing large-scale rewards cycles.

Experience with HR analytics digital tools and future-of-work compensation models.

Exposure to consulting or high-growth organisations.

Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance related to compensation.
