Were looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our team on an 11 Month Max-Term contract and provide crucial financial guidance and analysis for our sport productions including major events like the Winter Olympics and NRL season.
This role is key to ensuring financial discipline and supporting senior leadership in making informed strategic decisions that will drive the success of our Sport content strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for sport productions.
- Oversee the month-end close process ensuring the accuracy of financial results.
- Help prepare and track costs against detailed production budgets including the Winter Olympics Australian Open and NRL Season
- Deliver insightful variance analysis to stakeholders explaining deviations and identifying areas for action.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc analysis on cost trends key drivers risks and opportunities.
- Build strong trusted relationships with sport leaders translating financial data into actionable insights.
Qualifications :
- A qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
- Prior experience in business partnering with non-finance teams.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles including budgeting forecasting and month-end processes.
- Exceptional organisational prioritisation and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels.
