Our Group Sustainability team plays a central role in this transformation developing the strategy partnerships and investments needed to reach our climate goals and strengthen the long-term resilience of the business.

As Manager Climate Change youll be instrumental in developing and delivering the Qantas Groups long-term climate and nature strategy. Youll lead cross-functional initiatives spanning decarbonization investment and strategic planning ensuring our approach is ambitious credible and commercially robust. Youll engage directly with senior stakeholdersincluding government industry associations and investor advocacy groupsto shape outcomes aligned with our sustainability vision. Your expertise will help embed sustainability into decision-making and investment frameworks across the Group. Youll also champion initiatives in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) carbon markets and waste reduction supporting a holistic approach to sustainability and the circular economy.

If you have a background in top-tier consulting or corporate strategy and are passionate about applying your skills to complex high-impact sustainability challenges this is your opportunity to help define the future of aviation.

What youll bring to the role:

• 5 years experience in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g. McKinsey BCG Bain Kearney) or in corporate strategy/sustainability roles.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Economics Engineering Law Environmental Science/Sustainability or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide strategy.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a track record of building business cases and evaluating strategic options.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills including experience engaging with senior executives and C-suite leaders.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects through to successful delivery.
• A genuine passion for sustainability and advancing the decarbonization of industry.
