About the Role

As an Associate Product Designer at Solace youll help design the healthcare experience of the future alongside experienced product designers product managers engineers and clinicians. This is a hands-on role for early-career designers who want to learn fast build real products and see their work shipped to users.

Youll help distill complex healthcare workflows into clear usable and thoughtful experiences. You wont be expected to have everything figured outbut you will be expected to bring curiosity care and a strong bias toward action.

This role is for the hungry the ambitious and the deeply curious. Youre energized by feedback excited by complexity and motivated by the idea that good design can make peoples lives meaningfully better.

This is an in person role for 2026 college graduates in our Redwood City office 3 days a week.

What Youll Do

  • Learn what great product design looks like by working closely with experienced designers every day

  • Help bring beauty and simplicity to complex healthcare experiences

  • Support the design of production-ready user flows interfaces and interactions across web and mobile

  • Rapidly explore ideas through sketches wireframes and prototypes

  • Collaborate closely with product managers engineers and clinicians to design thoughtful solutions

  • Participate in user research usability testing and design reviews

  • Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate toward better outcomes

  • Help uphold and contribute to Solaces design system and standards

  • Sweat the detailsbecause small decisions add up to meaningful experiences

What You Bring to the Table

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to learn by doing

  • Strong curiosity for design systems and how people experience products

  • An intuitive sense for what makes consumer experiences feel clear human and delightful

  • A bias toward actionyoud rather make something and improve it than wait for perfect clarity

  • Care for craft and details even when working fast

  • Solid communication skills and openness to feedback

  • Familiarity with modern design tools (especially Figma)

  • Bonus: Experience through internships class projects student teams or side projects where you designed and shipped real work

  • An online portfolio showcasing your thinking process and design work
