W Sydney is now casting for a Overnight Chef de Partie to sprinkle some magic in the kitchen and to service all of our guests through the night! The ideal candidate possesses genuine excitement and passion for good food and the desire to grow in the industry. You will work with quality products and assist in the culinary department of the hotel. Above all you will be keen to learn and be committed to achieving the very best. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh measure and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist.
• Prepare cold foods.
• Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Monitor food quality while preparing food.
• Set-up and break down work station.
• Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
• Follow 5 star luxury standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Available to work overnight shifts weekends and public holidays as needed for business demands
• Experience and ability to workin a fast paced and quality driven working environment
• Must be passionate about food and keen to showcase their ability in fast-paced environment
• Well-developed ability to work independently and as part of a strong diverse and dynamic team
• Excellent organisational skills and strong work ethic
• Enthusiasm awareness and great teamwork
• Able to communicate and showcase reliability
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
