Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology
Join a well-respected healthcare facility located in Lexington Kentucky where you will experience a dynamic practice focused on providing exceptional patient care. This opportunity is in an inpatient/hospital setting featuring a supportive environment with dedicated staff to assist with GI procedures and consultations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient coverage including rounding and procedures.
- Handle ED call and consultations for gastroenterology cases.
- Perform required procedures including ERCP and routine endoscopy.
- Collaborate with a team of 3 inpatient APPs dedicated to gastroenterology.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation using Epic EMR.
- Manage a patient load of 10-20 patients per day.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification or Board Eligible Required
- KY License Highly Preferred
- ERCP proficiency Required
- Clean Malpractice History Highly Preferred
- Certifications ACLS and DEA - Required
- Availability at the time of name clearance Required
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid KY Medical License (Highly Preferred)
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology or Board Eligible status
- ERCP proficiency
- Current ACLS and DEA certifications
